We put up some decorations for Lunar New Year. Although we weren't planning to have guests over, it was nice to get the place decorated to help ring in the new year. My brother-in-law and his wife gifted us a beautiful centerpiece (the red willow planter with red envelope and lantern). We had some hanging wall decor which we picked up last year at the outdoor markets in Westminster. Those are the firecrackers and the golden Chúc Mừng Năm Mới. My favorite item of all is the pair of blue kỳ lân (aka kirin / Vietnamese unicorn) puppets (which we purchased this year from a street vendor in Westminster).
